Diana Logue – Office Manager

The opportunity to work for Karen O Gaffney, P.A. arose in 2002 because of an accident that Karen had been involved in a few months before I met her. Karen needed an individual to drive her to appointments and hearings. That was in August 2002 and in December Karen realized that my organizational skills would be vital to the Karen O Gaffney P.A. office. That was when Karen offered me a position to be apart of the Karen O Gaffney, P.A. team.  I accepted the position and have been apart of the team since January 2003. My skills have gradually increased over time to include but not limited to: creating of legal documents, office management, book keeping, and e-file services. I also answer the telephone, greet individuals that come into the office, set all appointments and do anything that Karen asks me to do regarding the office.

My working experience started at United Telephone when I graduated from high school. I worked there 10 (ten) years as a secretary doing all sorts of jobs in the Service Center. I then became a teacher at a Preschool/Christian School for 6 (six) years and then home schooled my two youngest children for 4 (four) years.

I graduated from Citrus High School and was in the National Honor Society all through high school.

Patti Dorsher, Legal Assistant

Patti joined the Law Office of Karen O. Gaffney, P.A. in July 2016, as a legal assistant. Bringing substantial skills to the office, her legal assistant career has spanned 40 years. Patti’s dedication and loyalty to the firm and its clients has helped in maintaining the office’s high professional standards. Her attention to detail in a law office environment is most valuable, ensuring all documents are completed with professionalism and competency. In addition to the drafting of legal documents and correspondence, her skills also include Internet research. Her humor also keeps the office environment running smoothly, despite deadlines and the stress that often accompanies keeping up with them. Her only request is to please not be put in charge of maintaining the office’s many plants, because, as she puts it, “they’ll be dead in a week!” Ms. Gaffney has no worries that she will leave the office to take up a career as a floral designer!

Patti grew up in Maspeth and Floral Park, L.I., N.Y., before getting married and moving to North Dakota. Having tolerated 17 frigid N.D. winters, she was finally able to convince her husband, Bill, to leave his roots and move to Citrus County, Florida, to be with her family who migrated here from NY. Before her move to Florida in 1989, Patti worked at several law firms in North Dakota, handling interesting cases such as personal injury and products liability, that made her sure she will never go back to “boring” administrative jobs that offer little opportunity for mental stimulation.
